In 2015 I was awarded a Ph.D. in Social Sciences by the University of Granada (Cum Laude). My doctoral dissertation explored the role of political identities as a central element of attitudes towards European integration in the context of its enlargement towards the East. My doctoral research received the Best Thesis in Political Science Award from the Spanish Association of Political Science (AECPA) in 2017.
I also hold a Research MA (Cum Laude) in Gender and Ethnicity Studies from the University of Utrecht (The Netherlands) and an MA (Cum Laude) in International Relations, from the University of Lodz (Poland).
During my studies, I have been awarded the Polish Ministry of Science Award, the TALENTIA Fellowship of the regional Andalusian government in Spain, as well as Doctoral (FPU) and Postdoctoral (JDC Formación & Incorporación) fellowships from the Spanish Ministries of Education and Science. In the past, I have been a visiting student at the Doctoral School of Central European University (CEU) in Budapest (Hungary), as well as a visiting researcher at the Mannheim Centre for European Research (MZES, Mannheim, Germany), and at the Department of Political and Social Sciences at the European University Institute in Florence (Italy).
